I can help you with:

  • Apple upgrades
Is your iMac or MacBook Pro running slow? Battery on your MacBook Air is lasting only an hour? I may be able to give your computer a new lease of life for a lot less than a new Apple computer.
  • Apple service
Is your Apple Mac laptop or desktop playing up? Don’t go out and spend money on a new computer, I may be able to fix it for you.
  • Malware removal
You clicked on a link and now ads popping up all the time and your computer is running slowly. You may have a virus. I can fix it for you.
  • Set up new devices
You have an Apple Mac computer and an iPhone, but you find it difficult to manage your emails, music or photos across your devices. I can help you sort it out and de-mystify the whole process.
  • Internet and email setup
Your Internet provider said that it will all be easy. I can set up your router so it is easy to connect yet, secure.
  • Data recovery
Have you lost important files or family photos? I can help you to recover your lost data and set up backup, so you are protected in the future.
  • Backup
Are you backing up and is your backup actually sound? Do you know that all disks fail sooner or later? I can help you set up secure and safe backup, for your peace of mind.
  • Training
They said that iPhones, iPads, MacBooks and iMacs are easy to use. Yes, they are, but you still need to understand a lot of things before you are able to use them to their full potential. I can show you how, without baffling you with geeky jargon.
  • Safety and security
The Internet can be a dangerous place. I can help you to secure your home Internet and access for all your family devices.
About me
I first used an Apple Mac in 1989!

Who am I?

My name is Maciek, I have 15 years’ experience working in London as an Apple Network Manager and Apple Devices Support Manager, as well as acting as a freelance consultant around ‘all-things-Apple’. Apple technical support and training is my passion and I enjoy enabling people to use their devices to help them with their life tasks.

Recommendations from my recent customers:

“Thanks so much to Macguy for repairing my old Air Mac and transferring all my data across to my new MacBook Pro. Professionalism to the max. His technical explanations were so easy to understand as I am somewhat computer illiterate. For the time he spent on my computer problems and what he charged was definitely value for money. And I put that down to his vast knowledge and experience with computers. Absolutely highly recommended.”

Carol, Matamata

“MacGuy not only solved my problem with my 10 year old Mac laptop but also showed me how I can save a lot of money by upgrading instead of having to purchase another Mac. MacGuy gives you the information required in laymen terms so you can understand the options that are available. I have referred Macguy on to friends, family and work colleagues. I highly recommend MacGuy to solve your Mac issues and to definitely save you a lot of money.“

Bob, Claudelands

“I’ve grown up with an IT geek father who knows anything and everything about Microsoft but absolutely nothing about Apple products, so when my MacBook ‘died’ he was of no help whatsoever. He was, however, adamant that I see the Mac Guy.

I left my MacBook overnight with Maciek who did warn me that there was a high possibility that I would lose the 4 years worth of photos I had saved on there but that he would do everything to save them.

When I received my MacBook back I had the great joy of receiving the news he saved everything on the laptop and for an amazing price.

I highly recommend the Mac Guy for any apple computer needs and won’t ever go anywhere else.”

Jessica, Fairfield

“We had been struggling with the slow performance of our home computer and also the interaction with all the other devices. I was unsure where to start and initially had decided to purchase a new apple computer and other components when I became aware that there was a local expert – Maciek, who was available to come to the home and evaluate the current set up and performance and suggest solutions.

Without detailing the visit I can say that the service was professional, courteous, not excessive regards time and most importantly a solution was provided – A plan considerably more cost efficient than my original plan. I also had plenty of options explained to me about the ways I could get the required upgrades completed – but based on the professional service already received I was more than happy to go with Maciek –  who again delivered as planned and on time for a very reasonable cost.

I would highly recommend Maciek to anyone requiring any work.”

Paul, Chartwell

“I purchased my first computer in 1982 and got my first Mac in 1986, in the early days there was a Mac User Group in Hamilton of which I was the convenor, meetings were held in the McMeekan Centre at Ruakura.

However over the intervening years the technology has increased at such a rate, that with my increasing years, I’m beginning to find it a bit difficult to keep up with. However, all is not lost, as Maciek AKA The Apple Guy is now in Hamilton and I am more than happy to have him advise me in the direction I need to go.

One of the best things about his advice that is he has not fallen into a trap, that in hindsight I was guilty of, in that he avoids technical jargon and advises you in easy to understand, everyday language. Also he listens to what I’ve told him and I’m getting good advice which is letting me do all I need to do and is not costing the earth!”

Peter, Riverlea
